VMG Elite Amateurs

VMG Racing was originally established to support the training and racing goals of a talented group of elite amateur athletes in Nassau, Bahamas. Founder Mark Holowesko and fellow athletes Lee Farmer, Ralph Faust, and Basil Goulandris were the Bahamas-based core group. In their first international outing as a team VMG won the Gainesville, Florida Race Week Team Time Trial in 2005 and Lee Farmer also took top honors in the Individual TT. VMG’s full amateur cadre now includes the core group, plus Chris Griffin, Stephen Holowesko, and Scott Hirshorn.

All team members have very full-time careers and train and race – successfully – in their spare time. The camaraderie and competitiveness between the group has taken on legendary proportions.
